The Business English Trainers' Conference 2017
Saturday 10 June, 2017
International House London

The Business English Trainers' Conference is designed for academic managers and trainers who either specialise in or have some involvement in the world of business English.

This year's conference will focus on a range of issues connected with professional English course delivery, blended learning, corpora, intercultural training, and much more.

Opening the conference, Bib Dignen will talk about leading international projects especially those driving innovation. Following the refreshment break, you have the choice to attend the session of Ben Butler who will explain how to become a non-expert expert in teaching or the session of Dominique Vouillemin who will outline the key areas of CertlBET.

You can also learn about how to make business English more enjoyable from Jeremy Rogers or you can attend the session of Matthew Devere who will simultanously hold a session on the importance of one-to-one meetings with students. Ian Badger will then discuss the areas of language learning to be prioritised in ESP training.

Within the last elective sessions, you can take part in the session about effective online teaching held by Jack Prince or get informed about scrum meetings, a useful tool to start off a day in the classroom. Finally, Pete Sharma will elaborate on how business English teaching changed as a result of new technology.

Come along for sessions on specialist subjects delivered by speakers with a vast knowledge of their subject areas. You can discuss hot issues, share best practice and ideas, and take advantage of the opportunity to meet others doing similar jobs.
