MEA Trade Mission to Kuwait

The Middle East Association will be taking a Multi-Sector Trade Mission to Kuwait on 20-24th May 2012.  The mission has the full support of the British Embassy and the Embassy of Kuwait.

Kuwait is the tenth richest country in the world and is the 6th largest oil exporter. Bilateral trade between the UK and Kuwait stands at $3.59 billion.

The government’s five-year $130 billion Development Plan, initiated in 2010, is designed to diversify the economy, reduce dependence on oil revenues, enhance the role of the private sector, and attract foreign investment.   Following the visits of the Prime Minister and the Lord Mayor, the UK is set to be the number one partner choice for trade and investment in the country.
The Kuwaiti market is of particular interest to those in a number of industry sectors, including:
