Egypt has the fourth largest economy in the Arab world. It also has a population of around 80 million, which is predicted to double in the next 25 years. The economy is moving towards a free market with growing opportunities for investment.
The Prime Minister David Cameron was the first head of government to visit Egypt since the revolution when he led a trade mission of senior business executives in February, 2011. The UK is Egypt’s largest foreign investor, with over 900 British companies operating in the country.
James Watt will discuss these business opportunities and the current political situation during the Breakfast Briefing, as well as responding to questions from delegates.
