English UK is the world’s leading language teaching association with more than 450 members – all accredited by the British Council – including private language schools, educational trusts and charities and language centres in further education colleges and universities.
English UK is a UK-registered charity with the prime aim of advancing the education of international students in the English language. All English UK members are accredited by the Accreditation UK scheme, which manages in partnership with the British Council. The association has worked tirelessly to establish itself as the voice of the English language teaching sector since we were formed from a merger of the leading state and private education bodies in 2004.
English UK represents the English language profession in the UK and abroad with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, lobbying governments, running training events and workshops and attending exhibitions worldwide.
Business English UK is a special Interest Group of English UK.
